ROBOTIC JIB

   MATERIALS:

  • Wood
  • Servomotors
  • Arduino board
  • Cables
  • Hot silicone
  • Magnet

   STRUCTURE:

There is a wood base where the movable parts of the proyect are standed. The arduino plaque and the joystick are putted there too.
Each of this components have their wood protections (boxes). The wood pieces are stuck by hot silicone.
The joystick and the servomotors are conected by cables, and the converging point is the arduino board , that is connected to the computer that has the ardublock programme running.
The robotic jib most important part is the movable one, the arm. This is made by wood planks that support the servomotors. The servomotor that makes the jib rotate (left-right) is stuck in the base and moves the hole arm. There is another servomotor in the top pf the arm and regulates the arm ending elevation. The arm ending has a magnet.

   HOW DOES IT WORK?

The joystick is used to control the two servomotors that move the robotic jib. The "Y" axis moves the servomotor used to regulate the elevation of the jib. The "X" axis is used to move the servomotor that makes the jib rotate.

    ARDUBLOCK PROGRAMME:

The information from the joystick (0-1023) it´s mapped into degrees (0-180) to make the rotation possible. Each axis controls one servomotor:
